News for late December and early January!

Happy Advent, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to you!  Yes, you!

I hope the holiday season has been treating you well.  Just so you know, here is the schedule for upcoming services:

12/24, 7:30 PM

Our Christmas Eve service will be a service of lessons and carols.  That means no sermon to sit through!  It should be a really enjoyable night, with all your Christmas favorites being sung, as well as a reading of the entire Christmas story.  We can’t wait to see you there!

12/29 and 1/5, 9:30 AM

Pastor David will be on vacation the next two Sundays.  So on 12/29, Harold Willemstyn, a retired pastor from Menno, willing be filling our pulpit.  On 1/5, Jean Voelkers of Sioux Falls will be filling in (you may remember that her husband filled in for me in September).  Hopefully, you will be here to enjoy the treat of hearing some guest preachers!

I will miss you all dearly, but I hope to see you in the New Year!  No doubt, God has wonderful things in store for Emmanuel in 2014; God bless!

Announcements for September 2013

Please join us for our weekly service, which will feature Communion on Sunday 9/1/2013.

David will not be in church on 9/8/2013.  He will be attending the wedding of his oldest childhood friend in Milwaukee on 9/7.  He will be out of the office from Tuesday 9/3 and return on Wednesday 9/11.  Any pastoral needs in the meantime can be met by the elders or deacons of this congregation, whose information can be found on this website.

We will kick off Sunday school on 9/15.  Our Wednesday night night gatherings for the children and the youth of the church will begin on Wednesday, 9/18.  Come one, come all!
